Bidders or Contractors Registration

The Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe is mandated, in line with Section 6 (1) (i) Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act), to to develop and implement a transparent and equitable framework for the registration of bidders and contractors to the Public Sector. Further, in terms of Section 4 (2) of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets (General) Regulations, 2018, the Authority is entitled to compile an annual list of registered bidders and contractors that shall be eligible to bid and be awarded contracts with procuring entities, which list shall be published in the Gazette and the Authority’s website.

The following are mandatory for a Bidder or Contractor to be considered for registration as a Registered Bidder of Contractor to the Public Sector. 

Note:

  • Private Business Companies (PBCs) will submit as applicable.
  • Foreign companies will submit similar documentation from their countries of registration. 

Companies

  1. Original Receipt for Payment of non-refundable Application Fee (i.e. US$100.00)
  2. Certificate of Incorporation
  3. List of Directors showing relative extent of Zimbabwean and Foreign shareholding of the company (CR14 Form)
  4. Business Physical Address (CR6 Form)
  5. Articles and Memorandum of Association
  6. Company Profile

Partnerships/Syndicates/Joint Ventures

  2. Partnership Agreement showing
  3. List of partners / controlling members/managers
  4. Particulars showing relative extent of Zimbabwean and Foreign shareholding of the Partnership/syndicate

Individual Consultants

  1. Original Receipt for Payment of non-refundable Application Fee (i.e. US$100.00)
  2. Detailed Curriculum Vitae
  3. Proof of Qualifications

For first time registrations the process may take 2 to 5 days for approval , this also depends on the payment method  one used ,For renewal the process depends on the payment method used by the applicant

Once approved, the Bidder or Contractor shall remain on the List of Registered Bidders or Contractors for a period up to the 31st of December of the same year.

Potential applicants shall pay a non-refundable Registration Fee of US$100.00 (for local bidders/contractors) and US$750.00 (for foreign bidders/contractors) in terms of Section 4 of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets (General) Regulations, 2018. 

All Applicants who meet the criteria for registration as a Bidder or Contractor set out in a Call for Registration document shall, after consideration and approval by the Authority, be published through a General Notice in the Government Gazette and the Authority’s Website in terms of Section 4 (2) of the Procurement Regulations.

Applicants who do not meet the criteria set out in the solicitation documents shall be asked to comply before submitting their applications.

In terms of Section 4 (2) of Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets (General) Regulations, 2018 all prospective bidders or contractors to the Public Sector shall require to be registered with the Authority in order for them to be eligible to bid and be awarded contracts with procuring entities. The Authority shall publish the list in the Gazette and the Authority’s website.
