The future of public procurement in Southern Africa will take centre stage in Harare from 24 to 26 June 2026 as regional leaders, policymakers, procurement professionals, development partners, and private sector stakeholders gather for the Inaugural Southern Africa Public Procurement Forum (SAPPF) 2026.

Hosted by the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (PRAZ) in partnership with public procurement regulatory authorities across Southern Africa, the Forum will be held at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) under the theme:

“Transforming Public Procurement for Sustainable Growth and Regional Integration in Southern Africa.”

At a time when governments are seeking innovative ways to drive economic growth, strengthen governance, and improve public service delivery, public procurement has emerged as one of the most powerful strategic tools for national and regional development. The Southern Africa Public Procurement Forum will provide an unprecedented platform for stakeholders to engage in meaningful dialogue, exchange knowledge, and shape the future of procurement across the region.

The Forum is expected to attract high-level government officials, procurement regulators, chief executives, industry leaders, academics, development agencies, and procurement practitioners from across Southern Africa and beyond. Participants will gain valuable insights into emerging procurement trends, digital transformation, sustainable procurement practices, policy reforms, and innovative solutions that are redefining procurement systems globally.

More than just a conference, SAPPF 2026 presents a unique opportunity for attendees to connect with influential decision-makers, build strategic partnerships, and explore business opportunities within the public procurement ecosystem. Delegates will engage with experts and thought leaders who are driving procurement transformation and shaping policies that impact regional trade, investment, and economic integration.

The Forum will feature thought-provoking keynote presentations, panel discussions, case studies, and interactive sessions designed to address current procurement challenges while identifying practical solutions that can strengthen transparency, efficiency, accountability, and value for money in public spending.

For suppliers and private sector organisations, the Forum offers a rare opportunity to better understand government procurement priorities, network with procurement authorities, and position themselves for emerging opportunities within the region’s growing public procurement market.

As Southern Africa continues to pursue deeper regional integration and sustainable economic development, collaboration among procurement stakeholders has never been more important. The Forum seeks to foster a shared vision for modern, resilient, and inclusive procurement systems that support economic growth while delivering tangible benefits to citizens.

Whether you are a policymaker, procurement practitioner, business leader, development partner, researcher, or investor, SAPPF 2026 promises to deliver valuable knowledge, meaningful connections, and actionable insights that will help shape the next chapter of public procurement in Southern Africa.

Join the region’s leading minds in procurement and be part of the conversations that will define the future of sustainable growth, innovation, and regional cooperation.

The countdown has begun. Harare awaits as Southern Africa comes together to transform public procurement and unlock new opportunities for prosperity across the region.
